Product contamination continues to become a much larger threat to producers as well as consumers. Inspections occur frequently and require higher facility and processing standards to pass. Process Plus will work with you to identify potential contamination locations and to improve your facility and facility standards.
Phase I: Preliminary Food Audit
Product risk and recalls usually occur when there is an “out of spec” variance in one or more of the following areas:
- Bacteriological Contamination
- Particulate Contamination
- Packaging Failures
- Inadequate Documentation
Working with plant personnel, our engineers will identify the appropriate area for review. This could range from potential facility contamination locations, confirming that OEM equipment meets GMP guidelines, or reviewing compliance of your material receipt, processing and transport protocols.
We will perform an audit with an accurate and cost effective course of action for the most urgent and relevant concerns of your manufacturing operations.
A report that includes:
- Potential operating problems causing unsafe and / or
- Potential facility sources of GMP risk
- Identification of critical process control points for monitoring
- Identification of potential areas for corrective measures
- Preliminary capital cost estimate
While the level of detail presented is not sufficient for reaching a final decision on implementation, it is adequate to identify potential solutions and to determine the need for more detailed engineering.
Phase II: Definition Grade Engineering & Design
After the client has prioritized projects, Process Plus can present a proposal(s) to perform Definition Engineering.
Definition Engineering Scope
The definition phase of engineering is primarily focused on data gathering, definition of project scope and establishing a capital cost estimate. This process works to establish understanding and buy-in across all of the corporate stakeholders (operations, engineering, safety and regulatory and management), and provide the project definition and cost parameters to support the corporate approval process.
